• Video + Photos: Royal Marines Indiana

Royal Marines train alongside the US Marine Corps at Muscatatuck training area in Indiana. The training focused on fighting in dense urban areas and saw them operating in streets and hospital complexes honing their close quarters battle skills. I produced a short video documenting the exercise as well as photographs of the actions and staged promotional shots.

  • Video: Potential Royal Marines Course

The 2019 Potential Royal Marines Course video was designed to de-mystify the selection process. It provides a human narrative and an inspirational figure whilst showing an achievable end state. We wanted it to be gritty and real yet encouraging and motivational. This could be you.

Full video production from planning and script writing, to shooting, editing and grading.

  • Photos: Commando Warrior

I was tasked to document a UK based training exercise with the Royal Marines in early 2019. The intent of the media capture was to highlight the Royal Marines experimental ‘Future Commando Force’ concept. A modern, adaptable force using cutting edge technology.

  • Photos: Brigantes Equipment

Photoshoot for Brigantes specialist military equipment supplier.

Working alongside Grey Palm I produced a set of imagery to promote some of the equipment that Brigantes supply. We spent the night on Dartmoor abseiling at Foggintor Quarry and swimming at Burrutor Reservoir capturing imagery along the way.

Brigantes originates from the UK outdoor industry, bringing with it the principles of openness, technical expertise and ethical business. With over forty years of experience building and selling outdoor brands across the globe, Brigantes was conceived to bridge the gap between the Outdoor and Defence industries in order to provide the best equipment and advice possible to the men and women in our armed forces.

  • Photos: Royal Marines in Australia

In July 2019 I was sent to cover the Royal Marines deployment in Australia working alongside the Australian Army as part of an international training exercise. We undertook a photoshoot with one of the Marines to demonstrate the roll the Marines were undertaking, show off new kit and present a clear sense of location. Shooting in the Australian bush at dusk achieved these aims perfectly.

  • Video: Royal Marines in Norway

As part of a wider media plan for the Royal Marines 2019 Winter Deployment and Artic Warfare training package in Norway I shot and edited a 3 part mini-series of videos documenting the trip.

Whilst producing the 3 part mini-series documenting the Royal Marines winter deployment in arctic Norway I also captured still imagery which resulted in a Navy News front cover and spread. Working in temperatures well below -30 Celsius I conducted survival training, got to see the Northern Lights and flew over the Arctic Circle in a Merlin helicopter, all in all making this a very memorable deployment.
